Here
is what I thought of Panic! At The Disco's new album, “Too Weird To
Live, Too Rare To Die!” Remember all scores are out of a possible
10.
“This
is Gospel” - A quirky
song. Nice opener. Fun music and a nice chorus. Not really a hit.
Score: 7
“Miss
Jackson” - A top notch
rock track. Excellent chorus. Good energy. Well done. Score:
8
“Vegas
Lights” - I love a rock
song you can dance to – and this one got my fat ass moving! The
first half of the song was pure joy and happiness, but towards the
end it lost some of its steam. Score:
7
“Girl
That You Love” - YES!
YES! This is an excellent song. One of my faves that I have heard in
a long time! Very Dark Wave meets Duran Duran. Love it! Love
everything about it! This will be going into my “Jim's Jams”
playlist! Score: 10
“Nicotine”
- Another high energy
jam. Excellent chorus and stellar music! Well done boys. Keep this up
and you will be heading into the “A Deeper Cut” HALL OF FAME!
Score: 9
“Girls/Girls/Boys”
- A rocking dance track.
Great music and another great chorus. Did it remind me of Blur's
“Girls and Boys”? Perhaps, but still a great track. Another one
to add to “Jim's Jams!” Score:
8
“Casual
Affair” - I'm not
really sure what this song was about, but the music was fun to listen
to and it has nice, dark, beats. Score:
5
“Far
Too Young To Die” - Um,
wow. Epic. That’s what this this song is – epic. Larger than life
music and beautifully dark lyrics. Everything about this track is
excellent. Another “Jim's Jams!” Score:
10
“Collar
Full” - Not a bad
track, but not a great one either. I will say this – the song picks
up speed as it gets to the end which I rather enjoyed. Score:
6
“The
End Of All Things” - A
nice ballad to land on. Nothing really outstanding in this one, but I
guess the band can't rock out all of the time – can they? Score:
5
Average
Track Score: 7.5. Nicely
done boys! Would I buy this album? ABSOLUTELY!
Escalader,
Jim
